The origin of that effort was a challenge derived from the social movements of the Arab Spring. The occupation movement employs a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_democracy direct democracy], in the aim of equalizing the power of individual voices.

Help Build the Movement by occupying or by supporting the Occupation and working with the occupiers. Come to the site. There are events every day, things that we need and work to do at Dewey Square. You can [[Donate|donate]] too.

Work with the Occupiers by educating yourself and sharing your ideas. Join a Working Group, work in Outreach, follow and Contribute on Social Media or take direct action.
