You can do this in Massachusetts by going to your local registry of deeds or going online to: [[http://www.masslandrecords.com/ Massachusetts Land Records.]]  There you should be able to find the complete list of the institutions that have held your mortgage, including any robo-signers and/or any involvement with "MERS."
