Possible Location
A quick Google search regarding places to do some outdoor grilling came up with a couple of hits. A public park with permanent outdoor grill setup would be very convenient, and apparently there are a couple in Dorchester and Cambridge areas. See here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/519216
- "It's next to the Charles River and I think the area is called Artisani Park." "on the Boston side of the river (Soldier's Field Road, Brighton) there are lots of permanent grills set up."
- "Franklin Park, at the Playstead in Dorchester near JP is great."
- "Arsenal Park in Watertown has grills for charcoal-on the eastern side the view of the river is quite pretty and there are fewer kids."
Flyer design needed
To let people know about this, we will need flyers. I'm working on one myself, but I have little to no luck with The Gimp and current graphics software. Assistance designing a flyer is appreciated. --Modemac 04:58, 7 November 2011 (EST)
The flyer should point out that we're only asking for a couple of hours of time, we're not asking you to give up your Thanksgiving day to come to Dewey Square. Essentially, all you need to do is put some stuff in a car, come to the cooking location, set up and cook some food with other people, donate your food to the person or persons who'll be taking the food to Dewey Square, then take your stuff and go enjoy your Thanksgiving. --Modemac 04:58, 7 November 2011 (EST)
