Allies Against Racism was formed because we found that there was some opposition, in the form of racist viewpoints, to our "Declaration of Solidarity with Indigenous People" proposal that recognized Indigenous People's Day and Decolonize Boston. It seemed that having a structure in place to properly deal with the racism that we witnessed at the GA was a necessity.
