The Allies Against Racism Working Group (AAR), founded in early October 2011, is to properly deal with racism (and other 'isms') witnessed at the GA.

History

Allies Against Racism was formed because we found that there was some opposition, in the form of racist viewpoints, to our "Declaration of Solidarity with Indigenous People" proposal that recognized Indigenous People's Day and Decolonize Boston.

Statement of Work

It seemed that having a structure in place to properly deal with the racism that we witnessed at the GA was a necessity. We also strongly believe that Occupy/Decolonize Boston must be built upon a foundation that eliminates any possibility of institutionalized racism or any other "ism" or form of oppression.
