Revision as of 19:55, 1 January 2012

This page organizes Occupy Boston's support of the Occupy Manchester (NH) events leading up to the Republican presidential candidates' debate in Manchester, NH on Jan. 7, through the primary election on Jan. 10.  National and international media will be on the scene, interested in all the Occupy plans for 2012!

Logistics for Occupy Boston People

ONH plans four days of action in Veterans' Park, on Elm St. in Manchester - about an hour north of Boston.  Occupy Boston can support this very visible effort in various ways:

  1. logistical support for the people attending: food, medical supplies, sign-making supplies, tweets, etc.
  2. Occupy Boston presence in Veterans' Park, with fliers, volunteers and signs; (OB will have space in an Info Tent for our stuff.)
  3. participants!

Transportation

A Greyhound bus leaves from South Station, but is not direct to Manchester. Drivers can shuttle bus riders from North Londonderry to Veterans Park in Manchester.  A carpool board is started on the Discussion tab of this page (click on it, to the right of the 99% logo.)

Food and Lodging

Occupy NH supporters have offered housing for people wanting to stay overnight. Food donations and afternoon meals will be housed at St. Augustin's cafeteria on the corner of Spruce and Beech near Veterans' Park.

Donations

Besides food and supplies for the event, ONH is also seeking nonperishible donations for local Food Banks.  Medical and safety supplies and equipment are needed to support daytime activities.
