The purpose of this group is to organize and mobilize the 99% for a general strike on May Day 2012.
The following proposal was passed by the Occupy Boston General Assembly on January 7, 2012:
Occupy Boston supports the call for an international general strike on May 1, 2012, for immigrant rights, environmental sustainability, a moratorium on foreclosures, an end to all wars and jobs for all. We recognize housing, education, healthcare, LGBT rights and racial equality as human rights and thus call for the building of a broad coalition that will ensure and promote a democratic standard of living for all peoples.
MEETINGS SCHEDULE
Mondays 7:30 - 9:00pm
Thursdays 5:15 - 6:45pm
Saturdays 1:00 - 3:00pm
All meetings are held at Cityplace Boston food court (for now). Cityplace Boston is located in the state transportation building immediately adjacent to The Alley http://www.cityplaceboston.com. 137 Stuart Street, Boston, MA 02116.
