4. WG Purpose or Mission (or some description on what it does)

The Facilitation Working Group is dedicated to protecting the collective thinking and horizontal decision-making processes to ensure maximum inclusivity of those participating in Occupy Boston decision-making. Our work may include facilitation of General Assembly and other meetings, assessing and improving both the community's decision-making process and its conduct of meetings, documenting the processes being used by Occupy Boston, training of facilitators, and making proposals to Occupy Boston General Assembly regarding improved processing of proposal and decision-making.

5. Steps (objectives) the Working Group hope to take over the next 6 months toward achieving this purpose or mission:

In order to promote horizontal democracy and make the process more comfortable and usable for everyone, the Facilitation Working Group is constantly working toward improving the decision making process. We will not only continue to analyze and update the process itself, but would like to acquire an Internet Hotspot to facilitate livestreaming and accessibility to both General Assemblies and Facilitation Working Group. In terms of the GA broadly, we will also work to find better spaces for General Assemblies if necessary.

6. Itemize resources, including money that might be needed to accomplish these objectives:

- wifi for hotspot and service

- materials—white boards, markers, visual aids, transparencies, projectors, video screens,

- video conferencing

- amplification system

- funds for obtaining better spaces if necessary

- toner cartridges and paper

- payment for trainers to do workshops to improve facilitation process

- assembling and distributing materials with info about facilitation

7. Actions we expect to take to help get the resources and money needed for the work we are planning: Fundraising—pass a box at GAs to raise money for specific goals
