This page organizes Occupy Boston's support of the Occupy Manchester (NH) events leading up to the Republican presidential candidates' debate in Manchester, NH on Jan. 7, through the primary election on Jan. 10.  National media will be on the scene; we need to help Occupy Manchester make a strong statement!

Logistics for Occupy Boston People

ONH plans four days of action in Veterans' Park, on Elm St. in Manchester - about an hour north of Boston.  Occupy Boston can support this very visible effort in various ways:

  1. timeslots available for those wanting to present an event (see schedule at www.occupynh.org);
  2. logistical support for the people attending: food, medical supplies, sign-making supplies, safety equipment, livestreaming, tweets, etc.
  3. Occupy Boston presence in Veterans' Park, with fliers, volunteers, signs, hang-out space; (Susi will arrange a space for OB at this Sunday's NH planning meeting. Contact her at pcovey5@gmail.com or put comments here in the Discussion tab to help with an OB Info Tent.)
  4. participants!

A lot of effort is happening on lists not shown on this wiki, and if you leave your email here someone will link you in with those sharing your interest.  You can also email directly to Katie at  Occupythenhprimary@gmail.com or Mark at  Occupynh@gmail.com, but they have a lot on their plates, so please go through our Occupy Boston channels unless you've got a large, immediate issue.

Transportation

A Greyhound bus leaves from South Station, but is not direct to Manchester.  A carpool board is started on the Discussion tab of this page (click on it, to the right of the 99% logo.)  Feel free to edit this content and leave comments on the Discussion tab to join the Occupy Boston effort, such as donating, organizing an event, carpooling or sharing the bus ride together.

Food and Lodging

Occupy NH supporters have offered housing for people wanting to stay overnight. Food donations and afternoon meals will be housed at St. Augustin's cafeteria on the corner of Spruce and Beech near Veterans' Park.

Donations

Besides food and supplies for the event, ONH is also seeking nonperishible donations for local Food Banks.  Medical and safety supplies and equipment are needed to support daytime activities.
