THat was just the beginning, the catalyst to broad revolutionary change
Occupy movement has made inequality in america into a dinner round table discussion
Remember Occupy as the start of the revolution that overthrew the glabal Market System and established direct democratic structures
we spoke, planet saved
we want the future generations to know: 1) there was a shift in consciousness 2) participatory democracy lived 3) anti-oppression 4) We practiced a different form of social relation 5) We tried to create a new model which would make old models obsolete 6) We want to hold control of our story
We are brave and they can  be too
we had rhythm, soul, heart and love
people found ways to listen to eachother
we became a movement that realized you don't go into historically marginalized neighborhoods and say we'll clean it up, but rather asked and listened about what they have already been doing and now others can help
occupy broke through the propaganda system with truth
the story of occupy to be from our perspective, not from the media
extension of the civil rights movement
catalyst that ends th two party system.
strong and non-violent
the spark that catalyzed the change we live in today
a movement that strives to include and include anyone and everyone
where poeple rose up to challenge resource and income inequality and changed shit
movement that was the beginning of the end of capitalism and advanced capitalist greed.
updated democracy for the way the world is now.
Permanenetly moved the political center of this country to the left.
produced many basic  paradigm shifts that it isn't neccessarily remembered for but mic checked the world.
now they know that we know
captured the imagination of the public
not a political party
referendum, national tariff import tax
lasting effect
a movement that got people paying attention, not just the same people.
turning point in how we view capitalism
the principle that everyone is a leader, no individualistic leadership.
they are still mic-checking
occupy movement happened then direct democracy was instilled everywhere, poverty was eliminated, all the wars were ended... and then there was light.
taught the world how open source communities work and why they're awesome.
closed corporate loopholes
its democratic and it looks at its own missteps
