Candidates and legislation. we will support public financing this is not new. OB now is what changes how we live in the future. basis of a permanent change. shifting the ideas of this generation. it was intergenerational statement of purpose: we occupy these lands in an effort to hold a public space to serve as a forum for open dialouge with each other about issues which affect society. i can't believe they even needed to fight for those rights that we now take for granted. THat was just the beginning, the catalyst to broad revolutionary change Occupy movement has made inequality in america into a dinner round table discussion Remember Occupy as the start of the revolution that overthrew the glabal Market System and established direct democratic structures we spoke, planet saved we want the future generations to know: 1) there was a shift in consciousness 2) participatory democracy lived 3) anti-oppression 4) We practiced a different form of social relation 5) We tried to create a new model which would make old models obsolete 6) We want to hold control of our story We are brave and they can be too we had rhythm, soul, heart and love people found ways to listen to eachother we became a movement that realized you don't go into historically marginalized neighborhoods and say we'll clean it up, but rather asked and listened about what they have already been doing and now others can help occupy broke through the propaganda system with truth the story of occupy to be from our perspective, not from the media extension of the civil rights movement catalyst that ends th two party system. strong and non-violent the spark that catalyzed the change we live in today a movement that strives to include and include anyone and everyone where poeple rose up to challenge resource and income inequality and changed shit movement that was the beginning of the end of capitalism and advanced capitalist greed. updated democracy for the way the world is now. Permanenetly moved the political center of this country to the left. produced many basic paradigm shifts that it isn't neccessarily remembered for but mic checked the world. now they know that we know captured the imagination of the public not a political party referendum, national tariff import tax lasting effect a movement that got people paying attention, not just the same people. turning point in how we view capitalism the principle that everyone is a leader, no individualistic leadership. they are still mic-checking occupy movement happened then direct democracy was instilled everywhere, poverty was eliminated, all the wars were ended... and then there was light. taught the world how open source communities work and why they're awesome. closed corporate loopholes its democratic and it looks at its own missteps
