Lydia's Cabbage Soup w/ meat
soupTeam: Peri, Tim and George Z
recipe
~4 gallons soup, 50-10 oz servings
- 3 heads of cabbage
- 7 onions
- 3 cups raisins
- 6 lbs ground beef
- 4 lg cans crushed tomaotes
- 4 lemons
- 4 tbs. honey
- 4 tbs carraway seeds
- 4 tbs cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- salt and pepper
- water/stock to cove
Saute cabbage, onions and caraway until cabbage is translucent. Add water and other ingredients. Cook ground beef separately,drain grease then add. Simmer until cabbage is tender.
